PART THREE: NORTH AMERICA---U.S. State of SOUTH CAROLINA

We have only been in the state of South Carolina once, in April of 2015, for a conference in Charleston.  Charleston was a wonderful and interesting city with lots of varied eating choices and lots of history.  But given my schedule we onIy spent limited time in the city, mostly at the waterfront where ocean-going tour boats were part of the downtown scene as well as an aircraft carrier on permanent display:

The one free day we had we toured an old former plantation, Middleton Place, not far from Charleston.  It is said to be the home of America's Oldest Landscaped Gardens, and since gardens are a thing I enjoy and admire, I created some photo pages for your enjoyment.  And mine.
