North McKittrick Canyon from its North Rim: Part 3 of 5

As we move toward the edge of our next ledge, we see the ridges we just came from to our east:

We move directly across this last ridge without following its rim, we are getting tired at this point, and while the vegetation is beautiful on the south side of this ridge, the vegetation is pretty well burned and gone at the top and toward the north slope.

That ridge beyond this one is where the trail into North McKittrick Canyon leads (the trail we followed on our frst walk into North McKittrick Canyon):

The view to the east is once again wonderful:

We are now so far into the canyon on this ridge that we can't see the intermediate one we just walked through, we can only see the first ridge where we followed to its rim at the start of this adventure:

The views down from the edge of this ridge are nice but not very informative, but the edge is a long one so we follow it:

Below us trees cover up much of the canyon bottom.  Hard to tell how easy or hard it would be to traverse:

We keep following the edge toward the northwest:

The next view down shows several tributary feeds into the main canyon channel:

We are coming around the burned portion of this ridge:

We continue moving along the edge of this ridge on the next page.
