PART ONE: Areas of the City Visited This Trip (One Page)

PAGE ONE OF ONE

We arrive at our hotel, the Tower Hotel on Saint Katherine's pier:

and find ourselves looking at the Tower of London (see Part Two)

and the Tower Bridge (see Part Three).

What we saw only from a distance last time we were in London was Saint Paul's Cathedral, so we make it a point to visit that edifice this trip (see Part Four):

From Saint Paul's we walk toward the river and follow it back to the hotel.  Along the way, at the river inlet above and to the right of the word "Bankside" on the above map, we spot a very nicely done mosaic depicting a thousand years of London history.  We make that mosaic into our Part Five.

Walking, and taking the Underground at times, allowed us to a quick revisit to places we saw last time we were in London, like this view of the London Eye and Big Ben across the river:

From that same bridge this was the view to the side of town we did not visit last time, but where we are staying this time:

The next page will take you to and into the Tower of London.
