Grand Canyon North Rim
Viewpoint A: Point Imperial
The North Rim has several viewpoints, and we visited three of them. The first one is actually a view into a side canyon, at Point Imperial:
Our next destination, Cape Royal, is just beyond that ridge in the next photo, and from that vantage point we will see the Colorado River in the main canyon.
Point Imperial has some nice views, granted, and show some fascinating rock formations, but if you are pressed for time I would suggest going directly to the main canyon's overlooks at one or both of the next two destinations, and if you are really pressed for time, just do the third of our destinations.
