The Rio Grande Near the Trinity Site
Just west of the Trinity Site on US Highway 54 is the small town of San Antonio, New Mexico, beside the Rio Grande River.
With the river this close to the Trinity Site I could not pass up just taking a quick peek at it from the highway bridge:

I liked this flowering plant hanging on in midstream for dear life:
Vegetation typically occurs beside a river, fed in this case by occasional flooding and also by the groundwater mound spreading away this river in this desert location:
I found these examples of colorful life very nice to look at. But had to move along since I had yet another destination in mind before sunset: the Valley of Fires Recreation Area (linked below).
